It takes patience to apply copper foil to the edges of all these little pieces of glass. This is a techniqueTiffany developed in the late 1800‘s for his multi pieced lampshades. It is lighter in weight than leaded work and strong with proper reinforcement. I used dots of ink or white out on some glass pieces so that I would know that was the top of the piece - it is easy to get pieces turned around and then it does not fit together. It is taking me longer than necessary though, because I have been working on quilt projects as well. I like to mix things up. Cheers!
